O B S E R V A T I O N S O N
the journey to living soul, aloha, and la bella vita
Wife. Mom. Restaurateur.
I’m a native New Yorker with professional roots as a manager in the music business, currently living the dream on the beautiful island of Maui where I run a renowned restaurant with my Italian husband. We escape to our home in south Italy with our two daughters whenever life allows. This space is where I celebrate all facets of our lives- lifestyle, food, fashion, travel, family, business- the beautiful mix and mash of all the cultures that define our family- with the goal of inspiring you to take a second look at the unique beauty of your own lives and inviting the celebration of the culturally specific as a means of appreciating our universal experiences.
This is not advice. This is a baseline.
When the weather shifts, your appetite knows before your mind does. You start reaching for warmth — not aspirational food, not “healthy” food, just something that steadies you. Across cultures and climates, people turn to soups, broths, and stews when things feel cold or uncertain, not out of nostalgia, but necessity. Warm food slows the day down. It settles the nervous system. It reminds you that you are still here, still feeding yourself, still paying attention. Sometimes, that’s enough.
